Review of Keoma (1976) by Mat K — 22 Jul 2008
I really wanted to like this movie more. It was a stylish spaghetti western that used some cool narrative techniques and camera work. It had some interesting characters and ideas. Unfortunately the movie plodded in parts and also had one of the worst soundtracks committed to film.
We are forced to listen to a high pitched, whiny, warbling voice sing about what we just saw. The ending also fell flat, the last gunfight was anti-climactic and the very ending undercut the movie.
