Review of Kentucky (1938) by Joel A — 16 Jul 2014
An early technicolor film that is basically Romeo & Juliet set at the Kentucky Derby..this film landed Walter Brennan his first Oscar.
It's a little bit sentimental & other than Brennan's performance the other actors are quite wooden.
The film features to many dialogue sequences & fails to capture any excitement of horse racing what so ever. It's no to bad but nothing gripping...
