Review of Kamchatka (2002) by Illich M — 06 Feb 2008
This film follows a family in the aftermath of the 1976 coup in Argentina. The military are rounding "subversives" and the family goes into hiding with the parents fearing for their lives as their friends get rounded up.
What's interesting about this one is that it's all seen from the perspective of their 10 year old son, who is never told anything. We don't really know what's happening, but we can feel the tension throughout the story.
Great acting by Darin and Roth, as usual.
