Review of Julie & Julia (2009) by Normg — 08 Aug 2009
A warm, old fashion, entertaining, throughly enjoyable movie is the only way to describe Julie & Julia. You probably heard about the parallel stories, separated by 40 years, that make up the plot. Most critics seem to favor the Meryl Streep side (even predicting another Oscar win).
I have no argument with that. Streep's performance is just that . . . a great, broad, performance. But I kinda like the small warm performance of Amy Adams (who is headed to a Streep like reputation) as struggles with food, career, marriage and the blogosphere.
I loved Julie & Julia.
