Review of Jubilee (1978) by Matt N — 24 Jul 2007
Anarchic and grungy, set in a post-revolution London and a result of the Punk explosion of the 70s. This saw early (and in some cases, first) film work of Adam Ant, Toyah Willcox and Siouxsie & the Banshees (blink & you'll miss the latter).
A cheeky pseudo-sci-fi with a bizarre Elizabeth I related sub-plot, this kind of Art-House film has sadly disappeared in recent years. A real classic.
