"Journey to the West" is another gleeful slapstick hodgepodge from Stephen Chow (and I mean that as a compliment), but it looks and feels a lot cheaper than his best work. The end also gets bogged down by lackluster special effects and an overt Buddhist message.
Still fun, but it's no "Kung Fu Hustle.".
