Review of Jolson Sings Again (1949) by Bleak M — 12 May 2008
It isn't as good as the first film but it is a great pleasure to spend more time in the company of these characters. Jolson Sings Again is also strikingly postmodern before the term was even used as the narrative tells of the making of a film of Jolson's life story within the very sequal of said film.
The actor playing Jolson in this film also appears as himself in order for...oh you'll just have to see it.
