Review of Jeanne Eagels (1957) by Allan C — 28 Oct 2013
Earnest though rather dull tale of actress Jeanne Eagles (who I hadn't ever heard of before) and her rise and fall. It's a fairly familiar story, but I like Kim Novak and that was enough to hold my interest, even if she did seem a bit hammy during some of Eagles' scenes when she was drunk on stage.
Not bad, but not really a classic either.
