Chantal Akerman's masterpiece is a meticulous study of the monotinous minute by minute activities of a Belgian mother and the slow unraveling of her being over a three day period. Delphine Seyring's brilliantly subdued performance as Ms.
Dielman is the crowning jewel in what may be the most important film for women of the latter half of the 20th century. Sadly not on DVD so see it when you can.
