Ok, to show that I'm not that favourably biased about Friedkin, I'll have to admit that this one was not so good. Sort of a BASIC INSTINCT lookalike, this erotic thriller doesn't have much going for it, and it was indeed a flop.
Was written by Joe Eszterhas, who also penned BASIC INSTINCT, but the thing is, it came out about a week only after SHOWGIRLS (another Eszterhas screenplay) so I guess it didn't help. It does have an interesting car chase scene, if one thing.
