Review of Ithaca (2015) by Mary H — 29 Sep 2016
Extremely affecting understated tale of a youth's passage to manhood in time of war. Touches on the futility of it all, family, small town life. A quiet movie, but strong. outstanding score by Coug.
Meg and Tom like you've never seen them. I'm a harsh critic usually. This one well worth it. Dont listen to the critics. They are just mad its not the usual Hanks-Ryan sapfest vehicle. It's more.
Only criticism is, wish it wouldve lasted longer! Wouldve liked to see more after the last scene...keep 'em coming, Megs! ps brilliant performances by all.
