Review of Ira & Abby (2006) by Private U — 23 Feb 2008
I absolutely loved each and every second of this unpredictably brilliant comic gem from the writer behind Kissing Jessica Stein.
Starring Chriss Messina, and Jennifer Westfeldt (also writer and co-producer), Ira & Abby is a traditional New York Indie Rom-Com with one of the most talented and incredible ensemble casts I've had the pleasure of enjoying in a long time.
The story is very, very engrossing, and each uttered line is executed perfectly and swiftly - just like the pacing. This film moves by in the blink of an eye, yet you do not miss one bit of the fantastic story.
Even when the story gets increasingly complex, it is not hard - at all - for the viewer to comprehend and absolutely enjoy what is happening before them.
Ira and Abby is the best romantic comedy I've ever seen - hands down.
