Review of Into the Night (1985) by Aaron W — 20 May 2009
So this was a pretty great little film from back when John Landis was still in his groove. Goldblum and Pfeiffer make for an interesting pair; mostly because Pfeiffer is gorgeous and Goldblum is one weird looking son of a bitch playing Ed Okin, your typical insomniac with a pretty lame job and a cheating wife. Pfeiffer plays, Diana, the woman who literally falls into Ed's life one night when he decides to take a midnight drive to the airport. She has some jewels, Iranians want them as does some French guy, a crazy night time chase ensues full of strange and wonderful cameos, the best of which results in a knife fight between Carl Perkins and David Bowie.
Yeah, this is just a fun late night movie with a great 80s score and soundtrack from B.B. King. Definitely worth checking out.
