Review of Into Temptation (2009) by Mariana A — 13 Apr 2010
This simply plotted movie is a nice gem among many lesser-known films. When a prostitute confesses to a priest that she's going to commit suicide on her upcoming birthday, the priest follows the few clues he has in an attempt to avert her destructive plans.
Emphasizing forgiveness and compassion, "Into Temptation" is a straight-forward movie with a realistic Christian (or Catholic) message. Kristin Chenoweth gives a poignant, sympathetic performance as the prostitute. And Jeremy Sisto is quite believable as the priest.
Easily worth the short hour and a half run time. [4/5 stars].
