Review of Infinitely Polar Bear (2014) by Tom M — 19 Aug 2015
A poignant well acted film that depicts the struggles of bipolar disorder in primary mania. The disorder drives a wedge into his relationship but the financial struggles of his ex leave her with little choice but to ask him to care for their two daughters while she tries to better herself and life for her children.
It's difficult but along the way there are a few laugh outlouds and we come to know that through it all their love is still alive. This is a great illustration of what can happen when bipolars refuse to take the medication, evidenced by a descent into the very things that got him into trouble in the first place.
This one is recommended.
