Fully deserved Best Picture award of 1967. Rod Steiger outstanding as a lonely Mississippi sheriff out of his depth in a murder investigation. Has to accept help from black expert detective, Sidney Potier.
Superb soundtrack as well. Complex and compelling. Find it somehow!
