Review of In Fear (2013) by Chris K — 16 Mar 2014
In Fear surprised me, I felt it was going a certain way (that in many ways would have made more grounded sense) but the film, while initially plagued by a vague final chapter, is in fact very comprehensible and a neat deconstruction of one person's desire for wanton carnage and the effect fear can have on the human mind.
A very effective Suspense-driven Brit Horror, boasting genuine scares, a terrific soundtrack and an understated depth to it- that admittedly may be lost upon first viewing.
