Review of Import/Export (2007) by Timo K — 03 Aug 2009
Its form and visuals are surely good. but...there's no point in showing everything in a naturalistic way unless a director wants to make a case, and unfortunately, this film apparently lacked any purpose apart from showing how 'animalish' our lives are (which I suppose we already know).
Thus, all those images of old dying people, people going trough ordeals in search of a job etc. were IMHO pointless and seen a thousand times before. I guess that the ultimate movie of this kind will just show an hour-and-a-half session of peeing and pooping.
