We've probably got a little too used to Almodóvar doing broody, disturbing mysteries over the past couple of decades but this film lands you RIGHT back in 1989 with a bang. Lots of banging. Lots of drugs.

Lots of dirty jokes and drinking and bondage and melodrama and.... Well, it's just very Pedro, but as we initially fell in love with him. And if you don't really get Almodóvar, this isn't going to convince you.

Best bit is without a doubt the lip-sync section performed by the stewards camping it up to the Pointer Sisters.
