Review of I Like It Like That (1994) by Nathan H — 12 Dec 2007
Reminds me of my childhood. This is actually a really good movie and what it really is about is some young people who start off with practically nothing and come into themselves to take care of their responsibilities as adults.
It runs into the territory of neglect and abuse and is a bit cliche' in describing the life in the Bronx but makes up for it in many ways. As much as this movie is about a latina woman taking control of her life it's about her entire family coming into themselves.
I would have to say that this movie is worth watching.
