Review of Hollywood, je t'aime (2009) by James H — 24 Jan 2010
Missed this movie at the film festival I went to, and am glad I finally got to see it. The plot was interesting, and the use of black and white while in Paris, but color while in Hollywood was nice. One of the main flaws was I didn't feel much for the main character or cared what would happen with him.
I understand he's supposed to be naive about Hollywood, but he just wasn't sympathetic enough either. However, I really liked almost every side character. There were all very colorful in their attitudes (whether they were kind or mean).
I also think it painted L.A. in many realistic ways as both a positive and negative experience.
