Seen this film twice now, but have yet to see it with english subtitles so am totally lost over the plot but still completely in awe. Hard to describe how staggeringly beautiful this film is. I'm off to the chinese countryside for my hols this year - inspired by Hero. Can't wait...... And now I have been - not only amazing but in Yanshuo there was (and still is) an awesome show on the River Li with 100s of actors and directed by Zhang Yimou. Can my life get any better???
Note: Yimou Zhang is also the guy that directed the Chinese Olympics opening and closing ceremonies.
