It's not a perfect film. But Filipinos need to see it. It's a blood-soaked mirror that reflects the Filipino's faults and his most redeeming strengths. Like Luna, we have the potential to rise above our "talangka" mentality.
Damn if this film didn't stir my nationalistic fervor!
