As a long time fan of Smith's music, this documentary really falls short of what I expected from it. It just doesn't dig deep enough. Some of the interviews are great but you never really hear anything you wouldn't have already heard or known about had you simply read his Wikipedia page.

Also, the way they give so little detail about the end of his life and never once even mention his girlfriend Jennifer Chiba, was just infuriating.
