Review of Heater (1999) by Michael L — 02 Aug 2007
What Jesus of Montreal does for Montreal, this film does for Winnipeg sort of. In the dead of winter, two poverty-stricken bums, one aboriginal one mentally disturbed, try to return a stolen heater to get money.
In effect, it is a quest tale as they journey across a frozen Winnipeg which is both frosty in temperature and in social reception.
