Review of Harriet (2019) by Derekreide — 18 Jan 2020
'Harriet' is an incredible interpretation of historical events throughout her times escaping slavery through to the second year into the Civil War. The cinematography was beautiful, the acting was stellar, especially Cynthia Erivo, who gives an Oscar-worthy performance as the lead character, Harriet Tubman.
The story, though probably some fiction is involved, is inspiring and well crafted. Overall, this is a film that some history buffs may not enjoy for the possible fictitious areas, but nevertheless to mention that this was a very well-made, inspirational, beautiful movie.
