Review of Harmontown (2014) by Dorian G — 12 Mar 2015
Dan Harmon, comedy writer and creator of Community follows the Conan O'Brien model of getting fired by NBC then going on a live tour. The difference being that Conan is a born performer whereas Harmon is a sweet neurotic, alcoholic, small S sociopath.
Harmon is also a painfully honest person and that causes the film to be a phenomenal study of a extremely talented but almost as extremely damaged human being.
I am very glad Community is coming back because it is a great show but, now, because based on my observations of this film Dan Harmon may have killed himself with booze if it hadm't.
