Some children's musicals - such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang or most Disney animations - have a charm that the whole family can enjoy. Not so with Hans Christian Andersen. It showcases some classic songs but in a feeble, uninteresting story.
Not exactly classic family storytelling. And do we really need the "biographical" tag on this film? This is about as true-to-life as 'Hitler on Ice'.
