Robert Rodriguez brought us films such as El Mariachi, Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, From Dusk Till Dawn and the great Sin City. Quentin Tarantino is the master filmmaker with such legendary pictures as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, and Inglourious Basterds.

If there are two filmmakers in this world who understand cinema, both the grand, epic pictures and the stuff played at sleazy discount drive-ins and dollar theaters, it's these guys.

One of the most severely over-looked movies of 2007 was "Grindhouse"...and it isn't so a movie as it is an experience. At once, it's the ugly side of cinematic history, and on another note, it's also the most American cinematic experience one might have.

The film is, quite literally, a work of art. Filmic brilliance.

It's not so much the two movies in the double-feature, it's the entire picture from beginning to end.
