Review of Greenberg (2010) by Alan G — 29 Sep 2010
It delicately walks the line between fascinating and unbearably uncomfortable to watch. It's a character piece focused on a quirky guy who's just been released from a mental institution after having a nervous breakdown.
He's incredibly awkward, humorless, scared, and unwilling to admit that he is any of these things. This makes for a plethora of painful interactions that will inevitably determine whether you love or can't stand watching this movie.
This film is not for everyone... but the only way you'll find out if it's for you is if you watch it. At the very least, you'll get to see Ben Stiller in a whole new light.
