This is a hugely enjoyable portrait of Gore Vidal which rather than trying to show every part and every level of the man in a systematic analysis, serves a seemingly endless selection of quotes and lines, excerpts from TV shows and remembered evenings which makes you want to know more and wish you had been invited to any one of the dinner parties.
A remembrance of the age before the entitlement of social media.
