A little undercooked but worth a watch. It was a hard to get over the liberal use of tropes and stereotypes, especially for a film that seems intent on upending (some of) them, but there's still something there.
The film spends a lot of time and energy building up the core relationship(s) but more time could have been used developing the black characters.
