Review of Good Ol' Freda (2013) by Matt D — 16 Feb 2014
Adorably sweet documentary about the woman who acted as The Beatles' secretary and president of their fan club. Having previously been extremely shy and reluctant to talk about her experiences with the band, this film acts as a record for her grandchildren to know about her rock and roll early days.
Those hoping for salacious new details and stories about the band though will be disappointed. Freda holds true to her honor toward the band by not kissing and telling on anything. Some may find this obnoxious but its actually what makes her story and this film so charming.
Fellow Beatles fans should not miss it!
