Definitely top 3 James Bond films. This is Pierce Brosnan's first Bond movie and he blows the role right out of the water. GoldenEye has some of the best set pieces (the prologue on the dam, the tank chase, and, of course, the ending), some of the best supporting characters like CIA Agent Jack Wade and Boris, and the two best modern Bond villains, Alec Trevelyan and Xenia Onatopp.
(This is the one movie that I actually enjoy Famke Janssen, especially after seeing her in Taken).
