Review of Going to Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film (2006) by Andrew M — 03 Jun 2008
PRetty good. It was totally subjective, but this is one for the fans anyway. WAy way better than American nightmare, has great brand new interviews with legends (John Carpenter) and lesser known and forgottens (directors of old slashers).
Could have done with less Wes Craven though. How can one man be so pretentious and think so highly of himself when he directed Shocker, Deadly Friend AND cursed?
