Review of Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief (2015) by Scott C — 16 Jul 2015
Having kept an eye on scientology's activities on the various sites around the web; looking into their business activities, this documentary wasn't a surprise to me. I think it was a compassionate look into those who exited scientology and are speaking out. We ask "Why do people join these cults? " The answer is never simple, nor can it be written of as idiocy or other lazy and derogatory explanations for it. To be cruel to these people is furthering the abuse they allowed themselves to suffer until it could be, no more.
Those that stay are also to be given compassion because they too will wake up one day, and need understanding and help to get through the exit process.
