Review of Girl 27 (2007) by Keith C — 24 Jul 2013
For anyone who enjoys "old Hollywood", you don't want to miss this one. Such a great documentary about a closed case file from 1937 reopened by David Stenin's investigative journalism.
It's a sad tale about an innocent girl raped at a studio sponsored party. She and 119 other girls were misled as to what they were to be doing that evening and the rest is now history. Patricia Douglas was very courageous when this happened but the "Hollywood system" owned everyone back then and this case was snuffed out without any accountability of the perpetrators or any justice or vindication resulting.
Gripping.
