Review of Gimme Shelter (1970) by Ross M — 15 Feb 2011
As I'm sure those who have read about this film know, this is more than just a 'Rolling Stones' film. It captures an era so seamlessly and not particularly the rose-tinted aspects of it, either.
Always captivating, even scenes where it is just watching hippies off their face on drugs. Why? Because it all has this mystic, ominous and somewhat awkward feel due to the inevitable murder that we are told about at the start.
Worth a watch, whether you are a fan on The Rolling Stones or not.
