Review of Giallo (2010) by Augusto A — 03 Feb 2010
Cheesy and dated, but oddly charming. It's certainly no masterpiece and it's far from Argento's best. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't say it's a very good movie at all, but it is an entertaining one.
Brody was alright and I liked his character, but as usual with Argento, the visuals are the true highlight even if he doesn't seem to be particularly inspired this time around. I have serious problems with the flashbacks and the way the killer was portrayed, specially concerning the choice of actor to portray him.
It's definitely something Argento would do, but it was a very silly idea. Other than that, I had some fun with it. I love how it ends.
