Review of Gardens of the Night (2008) by Drew G — 22 Mar 2009
WOW... What a terrible, fantastic film. The destiny of eight-year-Leslie that is kidnapped by traffickers haunts me. I've been thinking of her all day. The story has some holes in it - many unanswered questions remain after the ending - and would have profited from some more elaboration, but at the same time the shadows of uncertainties and silence illustrate the state of Leslie.
What a fucked-up world we live in!
