Review of Gardens of Stone (1987) by William R — 23 Feb 2012
Can well be perceived as a tear-squeezing drama of a young man who wanted to go to war, went to war and died. Another story is about friendship between comrades-in-arms slightly spoiled by the fact that the friendship is inherited from the times of the protagonistâ(TM)s father and may be a way to get a promotion.
And finally, to hell with the stories, the characters' remarks about war and life are witty and enjoyable.
