Review of Galveston (2018) by Larry S — 05 Jan 2019
Not going to win any feel-good film of the year awards, but the superb acting of Ben Foster and Elle Fanning carries this very dark indie noir. C.K. McFarland is also excellent in a supporting role here as a motel manager in Galveston.
Melanie Laurent directs here, whose 2014 movie Breathe I thought was quite powerful. All in all, the film's grimness will turn off some viewers, but with its twists and turns and fine acting I was engrossed throughout.
