Review of Galaxina (1980) by Marina G — 23 Jan 2010
It's not the best film ever made but back in the day there was no better hybrid of soft porn, sci-fi, and absurdist camp. Additionally, it's not that bad of a film, seriously. Stephen Macht was young and handsome, Dorothy Stratten was not a great actress but, my god, she was beautiful and, if I remember correctly, she had an unbelievable screen presence.
I watched "Star 80" earlier tonight, and it reminded me how much I loved "Galaxina". Maybe we were just deprived of so many choices back in the late 70's, early 80's, but I truly love this film.
