Review of From Within (2008) by Jeff Q — 21 Aug 2009
I really enjoyed From Within, a paranormal horror light on the gore but heavy on story that plays like a fantastic episode of the Twilight Zone. The story revolves around a high number of suicides within an evangelical small town. At times, the religious overtones can be a bit much, but it is not ridiculously over-blown (like say The Mist).
Some great acting along with well-defined characters that grow within the story really pulls together a plot that provides suspense and honest plot twists. I don?t want to give away too much here, so I?ll keep this review short, but this one is certainly worth your time for horror fans, sci-fi fans, or anyone that enjoys TV shows like The Outer Limits or the aforementioned Twilight Zone.
