Review of Foxy Brown (1974) by Jeff W — 23 May 2008
What a ton of fun! Personally, as a general rule, anything directed by Jack Hill that has both Pam Grier and Sid Haig is already an instant classic without me having even seen it, but this one truly earns the status. From the awesome opening credits (if you've seen Superbad, you can see where they borrowed those credits, more or less. I think Pam Grier looks quite a bitter better dancing than Jonah Hill, to the penis in a jar, everything about this film is awesome (including a couple standout performances from Sid Haig and Antonio Fargas, best known as the original Huggy Bear to most people.).
Man, I've lost my train of thought. Oh well...I'm tired. Bottom line: This film is a classic, with a very beautiful lady, whom they just don't seem to make 'em like anymore (who also changes clothes and hairstyle in almost every scene. Great stuff!).
