Review of Forrest Gump (1994) by Alvaro C — 19 Jul 2014
This satire of the American lifestyle is beautifully written and most of all acted. Tom Hanks here does some of the best acting ever seen in the history of cinematography making the audience feel that Forrest Gump is a real life person.
Sinise and Wright act perfectly as the near suicidal friends and makes us realize that sometimes being the smarter one isn't being the happiest and comes to expose the common cliche that "ignorance is bliss".
Writing wise this movie come to expose memorable moments and is full of beautiful truths, comparisons and makes us feel hopeful about life as we see it from Forrest's point of view. Overall this is one of the best movies ever filmed.
