At 9 years old, we kids cried to see this movie at the drive-in, but our cruel parents took us instead to a movie named "Star Wars", which forever changed us. Benji ended up being a dated forgettable movie. If our parents had given in to our tantrums, perhaps we'd have a roomful of Benji merchandise instead.
