Review of First Name: Carmen (1983) by Richard H — 22 May 2009
This was the very first film I saw in London, 25 years ago at the now defunct Camden Plaza, which was opposite the tube station, a great cinema.
At the time this film infuriated me, it was probably also the first Godard film I'd seen... but within the next few years I became very impressed by Godard's films, and looking back this was a real touchstone film for me.
Viewing it the other night yet again (pissed on Polish beer) it seemed even more relevant to me.
