Review of Fighting (2014) by Amy H — 19 Nov 2009
There is absolutely nothing original in this movie, but somehow it can grab your attention at least for the larger part of the movie. The intro music theme the pictures and feel is a copy of the 70's feel blended with evergreen NY style.
There is a young actor, there is the cute single mommy, there are the fights and the nagging mother of the girl. Then there are B and C class hustlers, pimps and other city slickers from the streets of NY.
The actual title fighting is maybe misleading because if there is any it's not quite enough for a real "fighting" movie, it more a shell for a romantic story between a country boy with troubled past and and the beautiful girl.
Channing acting is quite lame, and Howard can be quite irritating but one star is for Zulay which saves the day.
