Review of Fat Girl (2001) by Tofei Y — 04 Jul 2007
By far one of my favourite foreign films. Saw it again recently and was reminded of how disturbing a tale of sexuality that it is. Of all the female coming of age films, this film has a refreshing perspective on the limitations of female beauty and how invisible you can become.
Absolutely depressing and well worth it.
